A delegation of German entrepreneurs and business owners visited Curaçao during the first week of November, accompanied by the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK). The primary goal of their visit was knowledge sharing and collaboration with local organizations for potential investments.
The Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) provided the group with data and information to help them plan and prepare for successful meetings.
CINEX hosted a networking event with local stakeholders on the last day of the delegation’s visit, during which they were reminded of the (tax) advantages of investing in Curaçao. Mr. Xavier Prens, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Development, and DNHK’s Alexandra Sierra were in charge of the event’s opening.
This is the DNHK’s fourth collaboration with CINEX to bring German companies, primarily from the renewable energy sector, to Curaçao. These companies were chosen in Germany, and the DNHK is advising and guiding them in their Caribbean investments.
In light of the Ministry of Economic Development’s energy management plan, CINEX is very pleased with the visit. Sustainable renewable energy necessitates knowledge, and knowledge leads to innovation, which gives rise to more alternative job opportunities in Curaçao.
CINEX and its partners will continue to promote investment opportunities for Curaçao to achieve sustainable economic growth.
