Curaçao’s national postal operator, Cpost Internationaal, together with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the Caribbean Postal Union (CPU), is hosting a three-day regional seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. The event will take place at the Acoya Hotel in Curaçao from Tuesday through Thursday.
This seminar brings together experts from across the region to explore how the postal sector can advance digital inclusion, support e-commerce growth and drive sustainable innovation. Participants include representatives from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) and the Internet Society (ISOC). These organizations play major roles in shaping digital policies, infrastructure and connectivity in the Caribbean and beyond.
According to Cpost Director Jervhes Josephia, the value of postal services goes far beyond delivering packages. “Postal service is about connection, trust and accessibility,” he said, underlining the evolving role of postal operators in a digital world.
The seminar is part of Cpost’s broader efforts to modernize the postal sector in Curaçao—to make its services more efficient, transparent and inclusive. By exploring AI and digital tools, the event is expected to help postal services adapt to rising e-commerce demands, enhance last-mile delivery, improve customer experience and extend access in underserved communities.
With this convening, Curaçao positions itself as a hub for digital postal innovation in the Caribbean, aligning with regional digital-transformation agendas like those highlighted by the CTU and other partners.
