A Brand New Hotel On The Island From A World-Famous Design Studio

This coming May, construction will start on a brand new boutique hotel in Pietermaai called the Art Hotel by Piet Boon. It will become the latest addition to Pietermaai’s picturesque block of seaside hotels, which includes the hotels of Bij Blaauw, Scuba Lodge, and Saint Tropez. 

The fact that this new hotel will bear the Piet Boon brand is a great honor for Curaçao. Studio Piet Boon is a world-renowned design studio known for its multidisciplinary design services. Founded by Piet Boon and Karin Meyn in Oostzaan, the Netherlands, in 1983, they have created bespoke, elegant, and world-class designs for hotels, penthouses, townhouses, and villas in the Netherlands, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United States, Italy, France, Antigua, and South Korea, among other international locations.

The Art Hotel by Piet Boon will feature 39 rooms, a 20-car underground parking garage, an easy-going Caribbean beach lifestyle-inspired interior with artwork by local artists, and a unique lodge-esque exterior design. It is projected to open its doors in March of 2023.
