This past Monday, Curaçao’s Prime Minister, Gilmar Pisas, welcomed the management team and supervisory board of Curoil N.V. for a courtesy visit and strategic dialogue on the company’s long-term direction.
Curoil N.V. is a government-owned energy company that plays a key national role as Curaçao’s main distributor of fuel. The company is responsible for the import, storage, distribution, and sale of fuels both on the island and abroad.
During the meeting, Curoil’s management team presented the company’s strategic roadmap, which focuses on continuous growth in both national and regional markets. As an energy provider, Curoil is actively working on the energy transition, aiming to expand its operations with cleaner and more sustainable fuel solutions.
At present, Curoil is developing several major projects, including the “Go Clean & Green” initiative, the Helios Project to establish an independent fuel terminal on Curaçao’s Isla site, and the BOPEC Project in Bonaire. These initiatives represent significant opportunities for growth and help strengthen Curoil’s position in the region.
Both the management team and the supervisory board reaffirmed their shared commitment to professionalism and continued development. Prime Minister Pisas expressed his appreciation for Curoil’s transparent approach and its forward-looking strategy, stating: “The direction Curoil is taking, focused on sustainability, efficiency, and strengthening its regional operations, aligns with our national vision for a reliable and cleaner energy supply.”
