On top of narrowly escaping the worst of a tropical storm, Curaçao had more good tidings to celebrate this week. On top of stellar tourism numbers so far this year, the Curaçao economy is also enjoying a tremendous rebound from the island’s COVID-19 economic crisis.
At the beginning of the week, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) released a report on Curaçao’s economic output in 2021, which saw a growth of 4.2 percent.
This economic rebound is largely thanks to the boom in tourism the island experienced in the second half of 2021, which is continuing in 2022. Curaçao can be very grateful for every helping hand, especially in the island’s hospitality industry, that aided the island in its recovery. Onto more growth!
