The Curaçao Tourist Board recently reported significant growth in stayover tourism this past May, with a 24% increase in arrivals compared to May of last year. The island welcomed 53,970 stayover visitors, reinforcing its status as a leading Caribbean destination.
European visitors continue to dominate the spectrum of tourist arrivals with a 41% market share, followed by North American visitors at 29%, South America at 20%, and the Caribbean region at 7%.

Although May brought in 37,376 cruise ship visitors, an 8% decrease from last year, the first five months of 2024 saw 296,650 stayover arrivals in Curaçao, a 30% growth from the same period last year. The Curaçao Tourist Board anticipates reaching 700,000 stayover arrivals by year-end, truly positioning Curaçao as the premier Caribbean destination to “Feel it for yourself.”
