Five local investors, with an average age of 40 between them, have come together to invest in a hotel project called “The Wikènt” (The Weekend in Papiamentu). The investors are local entrepreneurs Chiarra Lo-a-njoe, Lysayé de Windt, Michael Joseph, Ivan de Windt Jr., and Maharo Isenia. They have joined forces and put forth a collective effort to invest in a hotel project at the location of Lagun on the western side of the island. There they will be creating a unique hospitality experience in which guests will get a weekend feeling throughout their entire stay.
These five investors chose to invest in this project because, like many others, they see Curaçao’s enormous potential as an idyllic vacation destination.
The Wikènt will feature three luxurious cabanas, an integrated kitchen, and a large deck, as well as a massage and spa area. Other attractions include a natural cave that will be incorporated into the property to provide guests with a private passage to the nearby beach.
