Last Sunday, the latest gem in Corendon’s hotel collection, The Rif at Mangrove Beach, had its grand unveiling in Curaçao.
The event saw a prestigious guest list including key figures like Gilmar Pisas, Curaçao’s Prime Minister, Ruisandro Cijntje, its Minister for Economic Development, parliamentary members, and Pablo Maturana from Hilton Hotels. These esteemed guests were treated to a preview of the opulence awaiting future hotel patrons.
Though the entire 385-room establishment is slated for completion by early April, attendees got an exclusive glimpse of what’s in store. The Rif at Mangrove Beach promises a lavish escape in the heart of the Caribbean. Nestled amidst a unique lagoon and park area surrounded by mangrove forests, the hotel offers a private beach featuring a replica of the famous pontoon bridge and the island’s stunning coral reef.
Accommodation options range from deluxe rooms overlooking lush gardens to swim-up rooms with direct pool access. The hotel boasts an Ultra All-Inclusive experience, with amenities like pool bars, a coffee shop, and three sophisticated à la carte restaurants showcasing Mexican, Turkish, and Harbor Bistro cuisines. Room service is also part of this comprehensive package. Plus, guests can access all facilities at the adjacent Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort.
During the opening ceremony, Atilay Uslu, Corendon’s founder, expressed immense pride in the hotel, emphasizing the brand’s commitment with a resounding “We are here to stay.”
The name, The Rif, pays homage to the mesmerizing beauty of coral reefs, evident in the hotel’s design across public spaces and guest rooms, catering to diverse guest preferences.
For families seeking privacy, special family rooms offer two adjacent spaces. And for added excitement, the neighboring Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort features an aquapark with pools and slides, including the exclusive King Cobra slide, a first in the Caribbean.
This latest addition underscores Corendon’s deep investment in Curaçao, totaling almost €200 million in the past five years. The company’s commitment includes the five-star Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort, the four-star Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort, and the Ritz hotel. With The Rif at Mangrove Beach, Corendon eyes a nearly 30% increase in capacity on the Curaçao-Amsterdam route, vital for the island’s tourism and employment.
