From today, October 20th to Friday, October 21st, Curaçao will be host to the Curaçao Data Days webinars. This is a three-day virtual event that is a collaborative effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all interested participants. Everyone can join these webinars to learn about numerous subjects, exchange their experiences, and establish a culture of fact-based decision-making through collaboration.
This will be a well-balanced event, with technical, practical, inspiring, realistic, futuristic, instructive, entertaining, local, global, general, niched, and influential elements. Its intended audience is government officials, students, ordinary citizens, and members of the business and tech communities.
This event also aims to equally address all the elements of the data-driven approach, which are technology, data, process, and people. And to appeal to a wide audience, the themes will span a variety of data domains, including education, public health, open data, data, and communication. In addition, there will be 3 levels of complexity to suit everyone’s needs: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
The program will include keynote addresses on topics such as Curaçao becoming data-driven, population health monitoring on the island, and getting the youth excited about technology in education. It will also feature round table discussions on matters including embracing change and data privacy, as well as parallel session workshops on data maturity scanning and data protection best practices for the Dutch Caribbean. Several speakers will be joining the event from The Netherlands, the U.S., Jamaica, and Colombia.
The partners of the Curaçao Data Days are the Government of Curaçao, Gemeente Amsterdam (Amsterdam City Council), Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post (Telecommunications and Post Office), Smart Nation Curaçao, Curaçao Data Driven, Curaçao Tech Meetups, and Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX).
