Yesterday, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) announced that Curaçao will send a delegation to the Festuris festival in Brazil this coming November 3rd. This tourism business fair brings together professionals from Brazil and other countries to promote tourism destinations and products. It is the most beloved fair in Brazil and the largest tourism business fair in all of Latin America. The Curaçaoan delegation’s attendance will potentially help Curaçao get a stronger foothold in the Brazilian market, among many others.
This will be the 34th edition of the Festuris festival, taking place in the Serra Park fairs and events center in Gramado, Brazil, a small city located in the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul that is known for being very tourist-friendly.
The Curaçaoan mission at this event will consist of the CTB and 10 of the island’s premier hotels and resorts, among which Avila Beach Hotel, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, and Sandals Royal Curaçao. The CTB will have its own booth, complete with a large scenographic design that has a beach. This is intended to attract many selfie moments among the fair’s participants, subsequently raising Curaçao’s profile at this event.
Many of Curaçao’s unique features, such as the island’s rich heritage of 55 different cultures, its 35 beaches, its picturesque European architecture, and its historic capital Willemstad, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a World Heritage site this year, will also be showcased at the CTB booth.
Last year, the Festuris festival received over 8000 entries, and over 2000 brands were on show at its booths. For the 2022 edition, which will take place from November 3rd to November 6th, the organizers have heavily invested in segmented spaces aimed at specific tourism niches. It will also feature trend launches, numerous networking opportunities, and training-related content.
