Curaçao’s Tourist Board (CTB) recently held a Sales Blitz in Belgium, aimed at tour operators and travel agents who sell leisure and luxury travel packages. The team met with a total of 15 tour operators and travel agents over the course of three days to raise awareness of the product offered by Curaçao.
The Caribbean island was promoted as an ideal destination for weddings, honeymoons, and golfing. A valuable facilitator for the Sales Blitz team’s exchanges was the fact that the island already has a high level of interest among Belgian citizens and tour operators. And with the new flight schedule that Air Belgium will soon offer, the Belgian market’s interest in the island as a destination is expected to reach even bigger heights, putting it on par with other prime tourism markets in Europe.
Among the partners who helped make this Sales Blitz a success were Baoase Luxury Resort, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, Sandals Royal Curaçao, ECO Destination Management Services, and Pitch Perfect. In its efforts to continue increasing visitor arrivals to Curaçao, the CTB will continue to invest in these types of exchanges in different markets.
