Curaçao’s Tourist Board (CTB) recently held a Sales Blitz in Belgium, aimed at tour operators and travel agents who sell leisure and luxury travel packages. The team met with a total of 15 tour operators and travel agents over the course of three days to raise awareness of the product offered by Curaçao, particularly for those for whom the island is a new destination in their portfolio. Travel agents who already offered Curaçao as a destination were updated with information that will allow them to better serve their clientele.
The emphasis was primarily on the island’s more luxurious aspects, such as the Jet Center, accommodations, and the wide range of activities available to private groups, such as boat tours, diving, museums, and other on-island activities. Curaçao was promoted as an ideal destination for weddings, honeymoons, and golfing. Curaçao already has a high level of interest, and with the new flight schedule that Air Belgium will soon offer, the Belgian market’s interest in the island as a destination is expected to skyrocket.
