The Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) has rejoined the board of the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA) for the 2023-2024 period. Curaçao, as a founding member of CAIPA, has been active in the organization since 2007 and has previously served on its board. The island’s reappointment to the board illustrates its value as a truly strategic investment location, as well as the importance of CAIPA in promoting the Caribbean as a whole and the region’s individual countries.
The CAIPA is one of the Caribbean’s most influential organizations for promoting the region for foreign direct investment. It is a federation of investment promotion agencies from 23 Caribbean countries and it hosts several events annually for investors interested in Caribbean nations. At these events, information is provided on details such as the business climate and living conditions in those nations.
“It is very important for Curaçao to be on the CAIPA board and advocate for Curaçao and the other Dutch Caribbean islands’ investment interests,” says Jeanette Bonet, interim CEO of CINEX. “We will collaborate with the newly elected President, Mr. Ronald Theodore, CEO of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation, to position CAIPA as a contributor to the Caribbean integration process, tying the Caribbean together.”
