Cruise tourists arriving in Curaçao will now be getting a digital touch to their visiting experience. This is due to the recent launch of the CPA Cruise app, which is the result of a partnership between the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) and Ruisandro Cijntje, Curaçao’s minister of economic development (MEO).
The CPA spent quite some time collaborating with stakeholders to create this app, and its release will show to have several advantages for both tourists and local businesses that operate in the cruise sector. For instance, one of its most useful features is that it displays the cruise ship’s departure and arrival schedules before the ship docks at Curaçao’s port. This makes it possible for local tour operators and other tourism-related businesses to better anticipate the arrival of a ship and adjust their services accordingly.
The CPA cruise app thus offers valuable support to local entrepreneurs and ultimately contributes to Curaçao’s sustainable economic development.
