In a remarkable first-time event, Curaçao extended a warm welcome to 85 Argentine travel agents who arrived as part of the 13th annual Copa Vacations Argentina convention. The primary aim of this 3-day visit was to introduce these agents to the unique charm of Curaçao, equipping them with valuable insights to effectively promote our destination in Argentina.
The event kicked off with a festive welcome party, graced by the presence of Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje, Curaçao’s Minister of Economic Development, who extended a heartfelt invitation to the agents to immerse themselves in the treasures that Curaçao has to offer.
The following day witnessed the travel agents embarking on a tour of various hotels, where they meticulously inspected the amenities and services on offer. Armed with this newfound knowledge, these agents are now better prepared to guide their clients toward the most suitable accommodation options on the island.
As the second day drew to a close, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) hosted an enchanting beach party. Here, the travel agents indulged in a delightful array of aquatic activities, from exhilarating sea-doo rides to serene journeys in clear kayaks and water bikes. This hands-on experience allowed them to not only understand the beauty of our coastal landscapes but also appreciate the adventure and tranquility Curaçao has in abundance.
On the final day, the group embarked on a tour of the downtown area of Curaçao’s capital, Willemstad, traversing the city via trolley train and electric scooters. This immersive experience offered them a deep dive into the island’s rich culture and history, further strengthening their connection to the destination. To culminate this memorable journey, the travel agents enjoyed a boat tour, exploring the beauty of Curaçao from the azure sea.
This visit to Curaçao was part of a grander itinerary, masterfully coordinated by the operators Copa Vacations, Delfos Tours, Logan Travel, Siga Turismo, Top Dest, and Tower Travel. In this multi-country exploration, the travel agents also visited Panama and Aruba.
In summary, Curaçao’s hospitality left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of these Argentine travel agents. Their newfound knowledge and firsthand experiences will undoubtedly translate into more compelling and persuasive promotions of the Curaçao destination within the Argentine market, forging a stronger bond between Curaçao and Argentina.
